Outcome of SDT Hearing

Before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal on 21 August 2024, Jennifer Anne Hallam, former solicitor removed from the Roll in November 2002, applied for restoration to the Roll of Solicitors.

Her application for restoration to the Roll was Granted, with a further Order that Ms Hallam shall be subject to conditions indefinitely that she may not:

1. practise as a sole practitioner or sole manager or sole owner of an authorised or recognised body; or as a freelance solicitor.
2. be a partner or member of a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP), Legal Disciplinary Practice (LDP) or Alternative Business Structure (ABS) or other authorised or recognised body.
3. be a Compliance Officer for Legal Practice/Head of Legal Practice or a Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration/Head of Finance and Administration.
4. Hold client money.
5. Be a signatory on a client account.
6. Work as a solicitor other than in employment approved by the Solicitors Regulation Authority Ltd.

With liberty to either party to apply to the Tribunal to vary the conditions set out above.
