1. Ms Ahmed’s employment at Arora Lodhi Heath is limited to that as described in the application form dated 1 July 2021 which the SRA received on 15 December 2021.
2. The supervision arrangements and job description as outlined in the application form dated 1 July 2021 may not be varied without our prior written approval.
3. This approval will lapse if Ms Ahmed’s employment with the firm is terminated.
4. This approval and the conditions attached to it are subject to review at the absolute discretion of the SRA.

Reasons/basis

Naina Ahmed was made subject to an order under section 43 of the Solicitors Act 1974 on 25 April 2013. In accordance with section 43 of the Solicitors Act 1974, any solicitor wishing to employ or remunerate her in connection with their practise as a solicitor must obtain our approval. The SRA is satisfied that the above employment will not put public confidence in the administration of justice and the provision of legal services or the interests of clients at risk.

• 2.1 I have DECIDED to make and publish an Order under Section 43(2) of the Solicitors Act 1974.
• 2.2 The terms of the order are as follows:
• Pursuant to Section 43(2) of the Solicitors Act 1974 (as amended) it is ordered that:
  • (i) no solicitor shall employ or remunerate, in connection with his practice as a solicitor;
  • (ii) no employee of a solicitor shall employ or remunerate, in connection with the solicitor’s practice;
  • (iii) no recognised body shall employ or remunerate;
  • (iv) no manager or employee of a recognised body shall employ or remunerate in connection with the business of that body.

Ms Naina Ahmed except in accordance with a Society permission.
