Breach details:
Paragraphs 301(a)(iii) 202(c) and 901.5
Offence details:

Ngozi Pipi between February 2006 and July 2008, engaged in conduct likely to diminish public confidence in the legal profession or the administration of justice or otherwise bring the legal profession into disrepute in that while employed by Edward Leonards Solicitors as a conveyancer she failed to disclose material facts to lender clients in various conveyancing transactions that had the hallmarks of fraud.

Ngozi Pipi between February 2006 and July 2008 practised as a barrister, in that she supplied legal services as a conveyancer and in connection with the supply of such services held herself out or allowed herself to be held out as a barrister. At all material times she did not have a current practising certificate issued by the Bar Council. That failure was serious pursuant to paragraph 901.5 of the Code of Conduct by virtue of its nature and extent, in particular because she held herself out or allowed herself to be held out as a barrister and/or because this failure is combined with her failure to comply with paragraphs 301(a)(iii) and/or paragraph 701(a) of the Code above.

Sanction:
Disbarred
Costs:
£1,500.00
Status:
