Breach details:
Pursuant to paragraph 901.7 and contrary to paragraphs 301(a)(i), pursuant to paragraphs 901.7 and 901.8 and contrary to paragraph 301(a)(iii)of the Code of Conduct of the Bar of England and Wales (8th Edition).
Offence details:

WINFRED DJABATEY engaged in conduct which was dishonest or otherwise discreditable to a barrister in that on diverse dates between February 2009 and October 2010, he made or caused to be made payments from the Client Account of his employers, Stanley Tees Solicitors, which were unauthorised in that they purported to relate to transactions of which he had conduct, when in fact the payments were not for matters related to those transactions, and were not authorised by clients, and he misappropriated some or all of the payments made.

WINFRED DJABATEY engaged in conduct which was likely to diminish public confidence in the legal profession or the administration of justice or otherwise bring the legal profession into disrepute, in that on the 1 March 2012, before the Solicitors? Disciplinary Tribunal sitting on Case Number 10856-2011, he was made the subject of Order made pursuant to Section 43 of the Solicitors Act 1974 prohibiting in diverse ways his employment by a solicitor.
