Syed Ahmad Husny Bin Syed Ali, being a barrister practising as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Malaysian Bar, between 28 November 1996 and 30 September 1998 engaged in conduct which was dishonest or otherwise discreditable to a barrister, and which was likely to bring the legal profession into disrepute, in that he neglected his practice and absconded leaving RM520,483.93 unaccounted for and missing, in respect of which conduct: 1. he was convicted by the Malaya Advocates and Solicitors? Disciplinary Board for the offences of acting dishonestly in the discharge of his duties, acting in gross disregard to his clients? interests and of conduct unbefitting of an Advocate and Solicitor which brings the legal profession into disrepute; 2. he was duly ordered to be struck off the roll of Advocates and Solicitors of the High Court of Malaya on 21 April 2004
