Akinbolade Arikawe engaged in conduct which was dishonest and discreditable to a barrister, contrary to paragraph 301(a)(i) of the Code of Conduct, in that on 19th October 2007 he was ordered to be struck off the Roll of Solicitors pursuant to a finding by the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal that he was guilty of conduct unbefitting a solicitor the particulars of such conduct being that he had;
a) dishonestly misappropriated monies from client accounts,
b) dishonestly misappropriated monies from solicitor office accounts,
c) withdrawn money from client account otherwise than in accordance with Rule 22 of the Solicitors Accounts Rules 1998,
d) provided false information in an employment information for to PE solicitors,
e) provided a false letter of reference to PE solicitors,
f) provided a false letter of reference to the Law Society in support of his application for admission,
g) failed to disclose relevant information on his application for admission as a solicitor.
