Bruce Anthony Hyman engaged in conduct which was discreditable to a barrister, prejudicial to the administration of justice, and brought the legal profession into disrepute, contrary to paragraph 301(a) of the Code of Conduct in that on 6th August 2007 on his own plea of guilty at the Crown Court in Taunton he was convicted of doing acts tending and intended to pervert the course of public justice contrary to common law and was subsequently sentenced at the Crown Court in Bristol on 19th September 2007 to a term of 12 months imprisonment and ordered to pay compensation in the sum of ?3,000 and prosecution costs in the sum of ?3,745
