Offence details:

Katherine Reece, on or about 22 February 2006, accepted instructions to act for W in connection with a potential employment tribunal claim, but failed to communicate adequately with W, and in particular (i) failing to contact W after 3 March 2006 despite stating in an e-mail of the same date that she would call at 11.00 a.m. on 4 March 2006, (ii) promising in a phone call made by W on 13 March 2006 to call W back by 1.00 p.m on 14 March 2006 and not calling back at all. Such conduct was discreditable to a barrister, and was likely to diminish public confidence in the legal profession.

Katherine Reece, failed to return W?s case papers to her, despite being requested to do so on 14 March 2006 and 17 March 2006. Such conduct was discreditable to a barrister, and was likely to diminish public confidence in the legal profession or the administration of justice or otherwise bring the legal profession into disrepute.

Katherine Reece, on or about 1 August 2005, accepted instructions to act for C in connection with an employment tribunal claim, but without warning ceased all communications with C from May 2006. Such conduct was discreditable to a barrister, and was likely to diminish public confidence in the legal profession.
