Breach details:
Professional misconduct, contrary to Core Duty 5 of the Code of Conduct of the Bar of England and Wales (9th Edition), Bar Standards Board Handbook (Version 4.6).
Offence details:

Mark Giles, an unregistered barrister, behaved in a way which was likely to diminish the trust and confidence which the public places in him or in the profession, in that, he assaulted another person. For this, Mr Giles pleaded guilty to assault by beating, contrary to S39 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 and was sentenced to a 12-month Community Order.
