Professional misconduct contrary to paragraphs 905 (f) and 905 (d) and pursuant to paragraphs 901.5 and 901.7 of the Code of Conduct of the Bar of England and Wales (8th edition)

Offence details:

Martin Vose, a barrister, failed to comply in due time with a sentence imposed by a Disciplinary Tribunal on 16 June 2011, pursuant to the Disciplinary Tribunal Regulations 2009 that he pay fines and costs totalling ?1394 by 29 August 2011, in that he failed to pay the said sum by 29 August 2011 or by 5 January 2014, contrary to paragraph 905(f) of the Code of Conduct.

Martin Vose, a barrister, failed to comply in due time with a sentence imposed by a Disciplinary Tribunal on 16 June 2011, pursuant to the Disciplinary Tribunal Regulations 2009 that he pay fines and costs totalling ?1394 by 29 August 2011, in that he failed to pay the said sum between 6 January 2014 and 3 June 2014 or at all, contrary to rC64.2 of the Bar Standard Board Handbook

Martin Vose failed to respond promptly to requests from the Bar Standards Board for comments or information on a complaint, in that he failed to respond to letters sent to him by the Bar Standards Board dated 10 July 2013 and 31 July 2013, such failure being serious as to amount to professional misconduct by virtue of its combination with another failure to comply with the Code (being the failure which is the subject of Charge 1 of this Charge Sheet) and by virtue of a previous failure by Martin Vose to comply with the same provision of the Code of Conduct, namely paragraph 905(d), which failure was found proved at a Disciplinary Tribunal hearing on 16 June 2011.
